Turn of Events

“There are things that we never want to let go of, people we never want to leave behind. But keep in mind that letting go isn’t the end of the world, it’s the beginning of a new life.”

And thus my new life begins, filled with wonder and delight -- for starters, I am learning to fly.

Mr. Albatros was so kind as to assist me in the purchase of my first mechanical flying machine. It's a lovely thing, shaped like a swallowtail butterfly... very sleek, classy, with all of the gears and mechanisms hid.

I started shaky, as most do I suppose, nearly crashing into cliffsides and ocean on multiple occasions. Ultimately, however, I did manage to even out and found myself flying (clumsily) through the air.

The feeling is an unbelieveable rush... a sense of freedom, and lift... I do believe I like it.

Now excuse me... I'm going for flight.
