A New Beginning

... and in a flash, he was gone. No sooner than the beat of a heart, and I found myself alone with only my child to give me solace. To look upon that sweet innocent face and know that, as a mother, I have failed my only child... the feeling alone can cause one's very soul to tear all apieces.

And yet, a feeling of being born again can take the place of sudden death -- I am finding myself free to re-discover that which I was, and re-create that which I will be. It is a journey that I am both excited and terrified to undertake, but I shall approach boldly, and I will succeed.
